Entry One
Okay now I have my first ever blog post up and running. Exciting isn't it?
No? Well, for me it is. It took me forever to find a template that I could understand. And I don't mean to sound ungreatful by any means, but most 'starting out' guides weren't the most helpful. At least not to me. I wasn't looking for anyone to spoon feed me info on HTML because it really is as simple as everyone says it is! What I was looking for was a simple explanation on the demon that is CSS.
For the life of me I couldn't find any intermediate guides to help push me forward. Like, what's the use in posting a 'tutorial' only for your explanations to be 'yeah it just works like that.' How! Why? I want to understand! Not just do!. I know I said I was still fumbling upwards even with the help of this guide but I like it! It's clear and concise in things I don't really understand and didn't spend too much time explaining HTML codes.
Even after all this complaining I have to recognize that not all guides are made for everyone... and no matter how I approach it webpage building has no straightforward approach to it. I'm going to continue to be frustrated until I figure things out. It's making my teeth itch to say it but its an unfortunate truth. I'm satisfied with the progress I've made though! I'm a bit more confident in CSS and mananged to change the background without breaking anything. I also really like being able to talk to much. My next goals are probably going to be customizing things a bit more.
